Ernie Schell, a graduate of Antioch College (B.A.) and Temple University (M.A.), first started writing poetry in high school, and considers it the foundation of all his other writing activities, which include publication of non-fiction articles in numerous trade journals, popular history magazines, Smithsonian, and travel-related publications. He also participates in Players and Playwrights at the Jersey Shore, and had one of his plays read at their public performance last June in Margate. He lives with his wife, Gloria, in Ventnor, and, thanks to the boardwalk, considers this seaside community an ideal location for encouraging composition of all sorts. He dabbles at the piano (these days an electronic keyboard), played cello in his high school orchestra, and clarinet in the marching band. By day he consults with multichannel merchants searching for the best software to run their business, and runs his own marketing communications firm.
