Our first night in Dante Hall was a great success. We were thrilled to be in such a beautiful and inspiring venue. Paul-Victor Winters was our feature poet sending us off into the night holding onto the vivid lines of his poetry. I rode shot gun on the way home in my sister’s car, counting telephone poles.
We’re expecting great things September 26th at 7pm. We’ll be opening the mic at 7 sharp so that our visiting poet, W.D. Ehrhart can begin reading at 8pm. We’ll also be making good use of the lobby to set up a zine/chap book swap. If you are interested in putting out your poetry to exchange with others please bring it along! Our aim is not merely to have an Open Mic night but to foster a community for poets and poetry lovers. We hope you will join us in September.
